This compilation aims to cover the early period of my recording career, from 2005 to 2013. Of course, due to
personal circumstances, there were some lapses in time. In 2005, I was still studying at the Languages’
undergraduation course, almost finishing it; only in 2007, I’d return recording, this time in HF Studio, for a
planned EP, which would never happened to be done. From 2008 and on, I entered in my real period of
sporadic home recordings, in which I’ve released several albums, which were kickstarted in 2010, with the
release of my first album, «Às Vezes Sempre». There’s a gap between 2011 to 2013 because I was entering in a
transitional period which culminated in my entrance on the Composition course in August 2013.
The instrumentals here included are intended to be purely instrumental pieces, and other ones were just halffinished
songs. I was in a conflict between continuing working on songs and investing more on instrumentals.
The songs without singing here attest the fact that they could work well even without my words and voice.
Some of them were perfected in subsequent recordings - «Terminal», «Abismo de Cravos», «Melhor Não»
and «Não Espere» can be found other albums of mine, with their own lyrics. «Autópsia» is the only song in
which the lyrics exist, but they weren’t satisfying to me. Those imperfect or unfinished recordings are
evidences of my own uncertainties, but also of the quest of my own voice.
